Our friends at Abbey’s Place have established a ministry tailored to women who have had an abortion. They provide biblical counsel, hope, and help for young ladies suffering the loss of a baby. You don’t have to walk through this alone…

Find Shelter and Rest in Christ! We urge you…

Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”  (Isaiah 55:6,7)

If you’re a victim of abortion, there’s a beacon of Hope and Light which shines in the present darkness! God, your Creator, beckons you to come to Him.

Yes, the sin of abortion, just as any and all sin, is deserving of God’s justice and judgment. But the overarching theme of Scripture is that God would not have you experience His justice, but instead, His mercy and grace! (Ezekiel 33:11, Isaiah 30:18, John 3:16-17, Luke 12:32, 2 Peter 3:9, 1 Timothy 2:4)

Astoundingly, God extends to His enemies (Romans 5:10) terms of peace! But His terms are nonnegotiable. The only way to peace with God is through His Son. (Acts 4:12, Colossians 1:19-20, John 3:36, 1 John 5:11-12, John 14:6, Ephesians 2:4-5, 1 John 4:9-10)

So, again…

“Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near…” ~ Isaiah 55:6

Dear one, God is not finished with you yet! Your lungs are breathing in His air and your heart continues to beat because Jesus (God!) is sustaining you at this very moment! (Colossians 1:17, Hebrews 1:3) The Lord is demonstrating overwhelming kindness and patience and mercy toward you that you might turn to Him and be saved! (Hebrews 4:7)

“…let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts…” ~ Isaiah 55:7a

To forsake your sinful ways and your unrighteousness is what the Bible terms “repentance”. It’s not only turning from sin, but also turning TO something: the forgiveness and life found only in Jesus Christ. Yes, Jesus calls you to repent! (Mark 1:14-15)

The time has come to stop living life according to your rules. (Proverbs 14:12) Stop opposing God, and begin to live His way! (Isaiah 55:9) He offers to save all who humbly come to His Son Jesus in repentance and faith. (Romans 5:1) Call out to Him now, “God, be merciful to me, a sinner.” (Luke 18:13, Romans 10:9-10)

We’re not required to somehow “clean” ourselves up in order to come to Christ. If that were the case, none of us could be saved. No, Jesus simply says, “Come to me…” (Matthew 11:28-29)  And also, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” (Luke 5:31-32)

“…let him return to the LORD, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” ~ Isaiah 55:7b

Through Jesus Christ’s finished work, you can be granted a pardon! (Colossians 2:13-14) Your sins can be washed away; you can be sanctified; you can be justified, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:11) This is only possible through Jesus’ substitutionary sinless life, sacrificial death, and death-defeating resurrection. “…though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.” (Isaiah 1:18)
